Been a long time since I posted. Why, you ask? Life! Life happened. Like keeps happening.

In the past few months, we finished the building process for our forever home, moved in, moved out of our rental (that took us longer than moving in to our new home interestingly enough). We’ve gotten a new Great Dane puppy (Colli Pepper) and new kitty (Cuddles) to add to our family. *Roxy might not be as thrilled with our new additions, as Colli Pepper’s favorite thing to do is bite her neck.* We’ve had “bored” kids home for the summer, my parents visit for two weeks, Toots, Jacob and My Mason visit, the Hubster’s parents visit. We’ve played baseball, outdoor soccer, karate, indoor soccer. We’ve seen every movie that came out (well at least the Hubster and the Dynamic Destructive Duo did). The “bored” Dynamic Destructive Duo have gone back to school, only to be bored some more. OI! We’ve had sleepovers. We’ve watched the Eclipse. We’ve worked crazy schedules, taken steps to advance our careers. The Hubster is a TEACHER! Of all things. And he’s GOOD at it! We’ve started decorating our house to make it a home. We’ve celebrated numerous birthdays and holidays. We’ve baked some yummy treats. We’ve gone on a diets. We’ve fallen off the wagon. *Yeah yeah… that’s pretty much only me, but I work to be a better person every day and sometimes that needs to include carbs and wine!* We’ve battled mice in my car- twice! We had a snake in our garage (ok ok- it was small but it was still a snake!)

Life doesn’t stop. Life doesn’t even slow down. It’s almost Thanksgiving already. Everyone talks about how this year has gone by so fast. Every year we all the say the same thing. I remember the years moving slower as a kid. Now, the days go by slow and the years go by fast. In my reality, doing what makes me feel good *most days* makes the days not drag either. And looking back at *some* of the things we’ve done over the past number of months, reminds me of how much we all do in such a short time and why time seems to fly by.
